SPINUS project invites you to join a workshop at the Quantum Effects 2026
October 6, 2026Beyond the Diamond: Real-World Quantum Technologies
On the 6 October 2026 from 9:30h to 11:00h, SPINUS project will host the workshop Beyond the Diamond: Real-World Quantum Technologies at Quantum Effects, in the Networking Area (Hall C2). This workshop will showcase insights from SPINUS project, but it will also serve as the meeting place for quantum companies to introduce their pathways to commercialization.
The registration for the event is not mandatory but highly recommended. Together with a confirmation of your spot you will receive a code to get your one-day ticket entrance to the Quantum Effects Exhibition and Conference.
Quantum Effects 2026
Quantum Effects is the world’s leading exhibition and conference for application-oriented quantum technologies with an annual cycle. The event generates every year enthusiasm for quantum technologies and offers an ideal platform for innovation, inspiration and collaboration. Together with industry, science, politics and relevant partners, the event has developed as the place for comprehensive quantum network.
Quantum Effects 2026 will be the fourth edition, and it is expected that it will exceed the expectations built from previous years. On the 06-07 October 2026, Stuttgart (Germany) will be the hub for international quantum industry and politics to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the industry.

SPINUS project
The EU-funded SPINUS project develops experimental platforms for both quantum simulation with over 50 quantum units and quantum computation with over 10 qubits, using nuclear spin networks and electron spin qubits in diamond and silicon carbide materials. A modular approach and novel readout techniques will enable further scale-up after the end of the project. Solid-state based quantum hardware can be particularly robust and energy efficient thanks to operability at ambient pressure and at (or close to) room temperature.
Fraunhofer IAF
Fraunhofer IAF is a world-leading research institute for III-V semiconductor and quantum technologies. In the field of quantum technologies, the institute develops novel hardware and software for quantum computers as well as highly sensitive quantum sensors.
Based on colour centres in synthetic diamond, the institute realizes quantum technological components – ranging from scalable quantum processors to sensors for the precise measurement of magnetic, electric, and thermal fields as well as radiofrequency signals. In doing so, the institute covers the entire value chain: from materials research to design and technology, through to modules and systems. In the field of quantum algorithms, it conducts hardware-agnostic research on industrial use cases across a wide range of sectors.
Quantum Brilliance
Quantum Brilliance is a global leader in diamond-based quantum technology, specializing in the design, fabrication and manufacturing of ruggedized diamond quantum devices, operating at room temperature. QB’s mission is to take quantum anywhere through the mass deployment of quantum technology, enabling its integration into everyday devices and high-performance quantum sensing and computing systems.
Diatope
Diatope develops and produces synthetic diamond material with qubit and sensor properties designed and optimized for quantum sensing and computing applications. Controlling the diamond composition on the atomic level is one of the key advantages of Diatope’s production methods. They achieve this by combining CVD diamond growth, ion implantation and quantum characterization. They offer different diamond configurations ranging from isotopically – purified high-quality diamond layers (¹²C and ¹³C) to reliably produced single or ensemble NV centres with certified and reproducible properties, such as depth with respect to the diamond surface, density and coherence time.
TNO
TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research, is an independent research organisation that aims for a safer, healthier, and more sustainable life. As an independent research organisation, TNO is the driving force behind innovation, making knowledge serve the common good. TNO focuses on contributing to solutions for four societal challenges: Safe and secure society, Healthy society, Sustainable society and Digital society.
