SPINUS at EQTC 2025 – Driving Quantum Innovation Forward
December 1, 2025We were proud to represent the SPINUS project at the European Quantum Technologies Conference (EQTC) in Copenhagen, showcasing our work on diamond-based quantum platforms and their transformative potential for sensing and computing.
Event Highlights:
- General Poster Session: Our coordinator presented SPINUS progress and vision.
- Diamond Clustering Event: Organised by AMIRES, this session sparked dynamic discussions on industrial adoption pathways for diamond quantum technologies.
- QuantERA joint poster session: Our coordinator was present with SPINUS poster
These interactions reinforced SPINUS’s mission to accelerate the transition from lab to market, strengthening Europe’s leadership in quantum innovation.
Focused Diamond Session at EQTC 2025
On 11 November 2025, SPINUS contributed to a dedicated session exploring diamond-based quantum technologies at the Qubit Arena, Øksnehallen. Moderated by Roman Pašek (AMIRES), the agenda featured leading experts:
- Magnetometry for material characterisation & biomedical applications – Xavier Vidal (TECNALIA)
- Quantum-enhanced NMR spectroscopy – Dominik Bucher (Technical University of Munich)
- Magnetometry for non-destructive testing, remote monitoring & space applications – Milos Nesladek (imec)
- Applications of colour centres in quantum computing & simulation – Martin Koppenhöfer (Fraunhofer IAF)
- Standardisation efforts in diamond quantum technology – Paolo Traina (INRiM)
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A and panel discussion, offering deep insights into quantum sensing, computing, and commercialisation strategies.
